We receive all our fish from the same sources as Austin’s premier sushi restaurants, ensuring that we offer a quality of omakase that is second to none.

While we deeply appreciate the intention of those who wish to leave an extra tip, to ensure equality and simplicity, additional tips are not accepted. Our quick table turnover means you won’t have to wait long, even during peak hours. The name “Tancho” is derived from the Japanese term for the red-crowned crane. The Tancho koi fish shares its name and distinctive coloration with this majestic bird. These koi, resembling the red-crowned crane, are exceptionally rare, and their unique coloring occurs purely by chance. Interestingly, the Tancho koi are so rare that there is no intentional breeding process for them; their special coloring is a result of serendipity.
